Here’s what Sumit had to say when we sat down with him for our Q & A session.

Hello and welcome to the Firemind team Sumit! It’s great to have you with us. For our viewers, could you please tell us a little about yourself and your professional background?

Sure thing! I’m an all-round family man, lover and friend, being an advocate for mentorship and guidance. I’ve worked in the cloud and IT space for over a decade now, in roles with companies such as Rackspace and Cloudreach. I’m a strong supporter of workplace cultures, ensuring I always pursue ways to become a champion in business culture.

How did you find out about us and what made you decide to apply for a role with Firemind?

I saw some of the many accolades of Firemind online and on LinkedIn, and as I watched many great people move over to the company, I knew I wanted to be a part of it! Firemind has a unique focus on cutting edge technology, AI and Generative AI. I’m excited to be part of it’s journey.

What is your role at Firemind?

I’m the new Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Architect.

Which areas of our business interested you the most?

Being a Generative AI specialist partner, I’m very interested in Firemind’s offerings, GTM and how to continue to ‘wow’ our customers.

What will be your main goals/objectives whilst working at Firemind?

To establish a strong foundation for Pre-Sales Solutions Architects, building a team that can flourish.

Which aspects of your role are you most excited about?

Being part of something new and exciting, showcasing our offerings and tapping into new markets.

What do you hope to achieve within your first 12 months here?

Within my first 12 months, I’m looking to build a solid team around me, one that supports the Sales department and continues to reach our targets.

Outside of work, what do you get up to? Tell us about your hobbies.

I’m interested in all things technology, communication and wellness. I also organise and play 5-a-side football, regular kickboxing practise and host a podcast that focusses on Dharma.

What’s your favourite song on your playlist right now?

Currently enjoying traditional music, such as Humare Sath Shri Raghunath, but I also love Eminem or J.Cole tracks.

Any fun nicknames we should know about?

People call me ‘The Protagonist’. I have an ability to pull people together, to lead and to inspire. I don’t really see it myself, but if i can do good for the world, then I’m happy!

If you could only choose one dish to eat every meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Anything my wife makes, I’m a great sous chef too!

What is at the top of your bucket list?

I feel blessed to have seen much of the world and had lots of amazing experiences. My focus right now is growing my family and being healthy.

What is one skill you would really love to learn?

Calisthenics or learning how to play the violin or a piano.

How do you wind down after work?

Going for a walk or a run, as well as some meditation before spending time with the family.
