Firemind at the AWS Media & Entertainment Symposium

For the 2024 Symposium, Amazon Web Services (AWS) brought together senior speakers in a range of leadership panels and executive keynotes, to examine the progress of AWS cloud services within the media and entertainment industry.

Introduction

This week, Firemind were invited to not only exhibit at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Media & Entertainment Symposium, but sponsor this prestigious event. As Firemind’s first ever AWS Symposium exhibition, we arrived ready and eager to discuss the ways in which we’re helping businesses across the media and entertainment industries, explore their use cases for AI/ML and generative AI solutions.

Be sure to check out our highlight video below, where we captured the highlights of the day, including the King’s Place venue, our exhibition area and our Senior Account Director, Andy George, presenting on the stage in the afternoon keynote.

Firemind’s exhibit

In the Firemind area, our team were busy discussing the ways in which we’re helping solve unique challenges faced by industry leaders within media and entertainment verticals. We highlighted some key use cases that we’re seeing, as well as our innovative approach to harness the power of generative AI and AWS, to address and overcome the most pressing business challenges.

AWS services and generative AI are enhancing every stage of the content value chain. And by leveraging AWS’s scalable and flexible infrastructure, businesses in this sector can efficiently store, process, and deliver vast amounts of media content. Generative AI technologies, such as language and image models, are helping specialists to generate engaging and personalised content, thus improving their audience experiences.

With AWS services like Amazon Rekognition for image and video analysis, Amazon Polly for text-to-speech conversion, and Amazon SageMaker JumpStart for machine learning, media and entertainment businesses are automating workflows, analysing viewer preferences, and streamlining content creation, ultimately ensuring a more dynamic and efficient content value chain.

We were also there to demonstrate the ‘Art of the Possible’, and the ways in which we’re using generative AI with Amazon Bedrock and our own PULSE solution, to help automate manual processes faced by thousands of specialist workers in the entertainment industry.
